How often should a golf cart be inspected?
Do a quick check before the first trip of each day. A cart doing all-day guest transport needs closer attention than a private cart used a few times a week.
When should I take a golf cart out of service?
Stop using it and call for service if the brake pedal is spongy, steering feels loose, the charger or battery smells hot or burnt, or the cart cuts out. Do not carry passengers until it is checked.
What should I record in the log?
Cart ID, date, driver, any fault or noise, tyre pressure changes and a note on range. Photos of any damage help the service team.
Does this replace a scheduled service?
No. It catches small problems early. Scheduled servicing, or an Annual Maintenance Contract, covers the battery, brakes, controller and motor in more depth.
